ADSL service can be used on any existing phone line in your home or office. ADSL is limited to 15,000 feet from your local telephone company's central office. The speeds listed are in the format of download (to your computer) / upload (from you computer).

IDSL service is provided on a separate data-quality line to your home or office. The cost of the data line is included in the price of the service. IDSL is a specialty service that, while not as fast as ADSL, can reach customers who are over twice as far from your telephone company's central office (up to 30,000 feet!). IDSL speeds are synchronous - download and upload speeds are the same.

SDSL service is provided on a separate data-quality line to your home or office. The cost of the data line is included in the price of the service. SDSL is available up to 17,200 feet from your telephone company's central office. SDSL is the workhorse of our DSL services, with synchronous speeds from 192K to 2.3M.

Burstable T1 services are provided on a separate data-quality line to your home or office. The cost of the data line is included in the price of the service. T1 circuits are unique because there are no practical distance limitations from your telephone company's central office. T1 circuits are the heavyweights of our high speed services, with synchronous speeds from 384k to 1.5M.

Standard equipment consists of an external DSL modem / bridge for ADSL circuits, an external DSL router for SDSL and IDSL circuits and a Siemens T1 router for T1 services. PCI network adapters are available at an additional cost.

Equipment is provided free of charge under a rental agreement. Customer does not purchase equipment. The rental fee is waived while term contract is in place. Monthly rental fees are incurred once term contract expires.

Self-install ADSL. TFBnet will mail all equipment needed to set up the ADSL circuit (it's as easy as plugging it into your phone line and computer). If a truck roll (technician visit) is required, there will be a $100 charge.

A $199 line conditioning charge may apply for SDSL 192K service.

Pricing shown for Metro T1 service reflects a three-year term contract. One and two-year term contracts are also available. Metro T1 services are distance sensitive and therefore quoted on a custom basis. Certain restrictions apply. There are substantial penalties for early termination.
